iPhone Email configuration
Steps to add your Tela email account to iPhone / iPad.
Please follow all steps to insure correct operation.
- Open the Settings App (gear icon on home screen)
- Tap "Mail"
- Tap "Accounts"
- Tap "Add Account"
- Tap "Other"
- Tap "Add Mail Account"
- Enter your name, email address & email password
- Description can be your choice such as your email address
- Tap "Next"
- Select the blue IMAP button
- Under "INCOMING MAIL SERVER" enter:
- host name: mail.telapowered.com
- user name: (same as your email address)
- password: (email password, should already be filled in)
- Under "OUTGOING MAIL SERVER" enter:
- host name: mail.telapowered.com
- user name: (same as your email address)
- password: (email password, should already be filled in)
- Tap "Next". iPhone will verify your account settings. If you get an error message, please review your settings to make sure they are correct.
NOTE: Please use http://webmail.telapowered.com/webmailpro to verify your email address and password if you are receiving an error. Refer to http://telainc.com/help/#settings for additional settings and port numbers.
- Tap "Save"
- Tap the account description you set in step 7 to edit settings for this account
- Tap your email address shown under IMAP and Account
- Scroll down to "OUTGOING MAIL SERVER"
- Tap "SMTP mail.telapowered.com >"
- Tap "mail.telapowered.com On >" under PRIMARY SERVER
- Verify these settings, making sure to set the Server Port to 587:
- Host Name: mail.telapowered.com
- User Name: (same as your email address)
- password: (email password, should already be filled in)
- Use SSL: ON
- Authentication: Password
- Server Port: 587
- Tap "Done"
- Tap "< Account" to go back one screen
- Tap "Advanced" near the bottom of the screen to review advanced settings.
If you are using IMAP mail (default), verify the following settings: - Deleted messages: remove: (Set as desired).
- Use SSL: ON
- Authentication: Password
- IMAP Path Prefix: /
- Server Port: 993
- Tap "Done"
- Tap "Accounts" at the top to go back to email accounts
- Tap "Settings" at the top to go back to general settings
- Return to the home screen & open the Mail App
- The new email account should be shown under "Mailboxes"
- Tap the email account description you set in step 7 to enter the mailbox. You can access the inbox directly or all folders from this screen.
If you receive an error message, please review ALL settings to make sure they are correct.
Note: These settings are Required despite the Optional designation.
If you are using POP mail verify that the "Delete from server" setting matches your needs.
If you are not sure, select "Never".
Make sure "Use SSL" is enabled.
The default Incoming Settings port numbers should not be altered.

Tap the "< Account" at the top left to go back to the account settings.
