Steps to add your Tela Inc email account to iPhone. Similar steps will work for iPad.
Please follow all steps to insure correct operation.
- Open the Settings App (gear icon on home screen)
- Tap "Mail"
- Tap "Accounts"
- Tap "Add Account"
- Tap "Other"
- Tap "Add Mail Account"
- Enter your name, email address & email password
- Description can be your choice such as your email address
- Tap "Next"
- Select the IMAP button
- Under "INCOMING MAIL SERVER" enter:
- host name: mail.telainc.com
- user name: (same as your email address)
- password: (your email password)
- Under "OUTGOING MAIL SERVER" enter:
- host name: mail.telainc.com
- user name: (same as your email address)
- password: (your email password).
Note: These settings are Required despite the Optional designation - Tap "Next". This will verify your account settings. If you get an error message, please review your settings to make sure they are correct.
NOTE: Please use webmail.telainc.com to verify your email address and password if you are receiving an error message regarding your email address or password. Refer to EMail Settings for additional settings and port numbers. - Tap "Save"
- Return to the home screen and open the Apple mail app.
You should see the new account listed in the mailboxes section. Tap on the account description to access the mailbox.
If you received an error message, or are unable to receive or send email, review the error message and all mail settings. If you are able to receive mail but not send mail, review the Outgoing mail server settings.
- Open the Settings App and tap "Mail" then "Accounts"
- Tap the account description you set in step 8 above to edit settings for this account
- Tap your email address shown under IMAP Account >
- Tap "OUTGOING MAIL SERVER SMTP mail.telainc.com >"
- Tap "mail.telainc.com On >" under PRIMARY SERVER
- Verify these settings, making sure to set the Server Port to 587:
- Host Name: mail.telainc.com
- User Name: (same as your email address)
- password: (email password, should already be filled in)
- Use SSL: ON
- Authentication: Password
- Server Port: 587
- Tap "Done"
- Tap "< Account" then "Done" at the top to go back to email account list
If you receive an error message, please review ALL settings to make sure they are correct.
